The local plan examination will be conducted over two stages during 2019, with the first stage likely to start at the end of June and run for 3 – 6 days

The provisional hearings programme for Stage 1 is likely to be held between Wednesday 26th June and Friday 5th July.

Yes, anyone can attend the hearing, but only people who

1. submitted comments

2. Are seeking to change the plan

3.and indicated they would like to participate in the oral examination session can speak

Yes, you can submit written evidence if you cannot attend or do not want to speak if you submitted comments, are seeking to change the plan and indicated you would like to participate in the oral examination session

Stage 1 will consider legal/procedural matters, vision and strategy, housing and
employment need and supply, and travellers.

Stage 2 will cover the spatial development strategy, the soundness of individual site allocations, and other policy matters.

When the plan is submitted for examination, it is considered to be complete and ready for examination

Not sound, but could be

The submitted plan is not sound but could be made sound by changes (known as main modifications) ), if necessary following additional work

Not sound

The plan is not sound and could not be made sound by changes
